Lee Kimbrell Lexington Concert reviews
Maiden Rocks Phoenix
I, personally, brought a friend's 17-year-old son. Another great thing I noticed was the number of parents with their kids were there. What impressed me most is how these guys are still keeping the energy up for an amazing performance after all these years. They really enjoy what they do and it shows. They are simply the best band out there. Now I am a fan of both their older and newer stuff, so I was quite happy to hear their older stuff. Steve Harris is still the best bassist in the world, bar none.
The only drawback that I noticed was the set design made it difficult to see some of the action on stage if you were off to either side. But the big screens on the sides of the stage helped with that.
First off, they made it clear from the beginning that this tour will focus on their older albums if you are going to see them play all their newer stuff you will be disappointed.
So it was good for the young and the old. All in all, this was one of the best Maiden concerts I have been to, and I have been going to them for over 25 years. He had a blast.
